Catie and Andrew

Catie and Andrew’s wedding was absolutely perfect!  Theirs was my last wedding of 2011 and it was the perfect one to end the year on!  The weather, even though it was the middle of December could not have been any better!  Catie of course looked amazing and glowed all day!  They chose to have their wedding at the Meridith Chapel and their reception at the NC State Club.  Karen Matchunis of A Perfect Match Weddings and Events did an amazing job making sure the day ran smoothy.  Catie’s beautiful flowers were arranged by Erin Kennedy of Brides and Bouquests and not only looked beautiful but smelled beautiful!  Her incredible cake was by Swank Cake Design who not only had a delicious cake but they did such a wonderful job including details from Catie’s dress in their cake design.  Catie and Andrew’s reception would not have been the same without the oh so amazing Randy Bennett of Joe Dunn DJ Company.

Catie and Andrew were a dream couple to work with and we enjoyed every minute of it!  So now, without further a doe…here are some images of their wedding!

Brittany and Miles | Round Peak Vineyards

Brittany and Miless chose such a beautiful location in the Round Peak Vineyards!  They could not have asked for a more beautiful fall day, as they were surrounded by breath taking mountains, the leaves turning and all of their family and friends!  (in case you are wondering, the Round Peak Vineyard are only a short  2.5 hour drive away from Raleigh)  Brittany and Miles worked hard to incorporate as much of themselves in the details as they could.  They had chalk boards with inspirational sayings leading all the way up the drive way as the guest entered their wedding, they hung black and white photos of the two of them growing up with twine and wooden clothes pens and everything had such a relaxed laid back approach.  When we showed up, Brittany was in her yellow Chucks, sipping on the Round Peak Vineyards house wine, and was as relaxed as any bride I have seen!

Brittany glowed all day and she had such amazing fall sunlight in the afternoon and one of the most spectacular sunsets you could ask for!  In keeping with her style, Brittany chose to not have a fancy cake, but opted for a variety of oh so yummy cupcakes!  After feeding each other cupcakes, Brittany and Miles along with their guest hung out by the huge bon fire making smokes and having a wonderful time!

Thank you Brittany and Miles for allowing up to capture your day!!

Michelle’s Bridal Portraits

Now that Ed and Michelle were married this past Saturday, I can share her bridal portraits!  Since they were having their ceremony at Crenshaw Hall in Wake Forest, Michelle decided to have her portraits there as well.  Michelle was absolutely stunning and also very emotional as the full force of her upcoming wedding was becoming a reality!

Becoming a Family

If you know me at all, you will know that I LOVE what I do!  Photography for me is such a strong passion.  Being able to photograph a bride and groom as they say their vows and become husband and wife, well, its enough to bring tears to my eyes!  So…you can only image my excitement when one of my bride and grooms gets pregnant and they are now starting a family!!  For me, it is like a cherry on top of a sundae!! I was over the moon when I found out that Amanda and Chris are expecting a little baby boy in just a couple of weeks and of course was so happy to photograph Amanda’s maternity session….and am anxiously waiting to photograph their little boy in the next couple of days!!

Laura and Eric’s Wedding-Part 1

Laura and Eric’s wedding was one that I had really been looking forward to! There is just something about the two of them that is so endearing! It may be the quiet shyness of Laura, or the way that Eric talks more with his eyes than anything else (especially when he looks at Laura!) They truly are just as kind and sweet as they are beautiful! We thank you both so much for allowing us to be a part of your special day, and we hope that you are having an amazing time on your honeymoon!
